Information About the Scheme:
Historic England is procuring an external organisation to deliver the key Wrap Around Skills and Development Training for this scheme as set out by the DWP. Intuitive Thinking Skills will provide both face to face and e-learning modules that will complement the employees learning styles. The employees will also have access to a range of wellbeing support to aid them in achieving their placements provided by the training body.
Within Heritage Lincolnshire, the roles will be mentored by a Senior Manager within the team, with significant experience in the three areas. They will devise a unique two-week induction programme for the post, which will introduce the sector, the work of HTL and the roles. Internal training will be provided and, where appropriate, the trainees will also attend meetings that directly relate to volunteering within the sector.
Internal and external training opportunities will be continually sought to upskill the young person as much as possible and make them aware of the opportunities within the heritage sector. A key part of the placement will also aim to help the young person advance their employability through the addition of training, courses and acquiring new skills. Employment within the sector will be highlighted with potentially suitable positions signposted.
