Grantham House Feasibility Study
This study was commissioned by InvestSK on behalf of the St Wulfram’s partnership. The aim was to assess the feasibility of the partnership expanding heritage and community activities from St Wulfram’s Church to Grantham House opposite.
Grantham House was gifted to National Trust in the 1940s by the Sedgwick family. The terms of the transfer included a provision for members of the family to rent the property as a home. It has recently occupied, but availability let to proposed feasibility study in order to improve access through wider public use.
This feasibility study looked at a range of options for the future use of Grantham House, assessing the outline business case and financial viability of each. The study included a heritage assessment highlighting key areas of potential conflict between the conservation of the Grade I and II* Listed buildings and change of use, and key operational concerns of a change of use on site.
