Industrial Warfare

From the second half of the 18th century, warfare became dominated by large conscript armies and increasing use of economic warfare, sometimes referred to as total war. This culminated in the first world war.

In Lincolnshire we have historical records showing that there were various camps and installations dating to this period, but with the exception of barrack buildings, most of these have yet to be identified on the ground.
