A Celebration of the Spalding Banner, Nature Etchings and Willow Riverwalk – Spalding Reconnected

Join us in celebrating Spalding’s historic town and picturesque riverside next Saturday, 8th February!
Kindly organised by our creative leads on the Spalding Reconnected project, Transported, we’re thrilled to invite you to the celebration event of Spalding’s riverwalk. Experience the exciting new additions along the River Welland, including intricately constructed living willow artworks and way-markers.
The celebratory walk will begin at 10am on the green outside Ayscoughfee Hall School, and will include…
Talks, performances, a live music-led walk showcasing the new installations, and finish with beautiful choral performances by the Spalding Community Choir and refreshments.

Accessibility for the event –
There is unlimited, free, on street-parking nearby to the Ayscoughfee Hall School and the nearest car park is Vine Street. The distance between the school and Ayscoughfee Hall, which is the route of the led walk, is roughly 1000 metres, and will be along paths beside the riverside.
We will meet on the green outside Ayscoughfee Hall School beside the willow eel trap, before walking down the river to the first etched waymarker then turn around and walk up beside the river footbridge to Ayscoughfee on the Cowbit Road side.
You are welcome to join the walk at any point on the route.
