St Wulfram’s has, according to Jenkins, ‘England’s finest steeple’, majestic to behold. Visit the crypt, the Trigge chained library, and see newly-conserved monuments by some of England’s most talented sculptors. One monument is to William King, ‘projector’ of Grantham canal. There are stairs down to the Crypt, up to the Chained Library and Tower. Owing to the presence of nesting falcons, it will not be possible to access the upper part of the tower.
