HOD – Chance to Explore Medieval Greyfriars

Part of the Lincolnshire HODs Festival 2023

Join us and discover Greyfriars; England’s oldest friary and Heritage Lincolnshire’s latest Buildings Preservation Project during Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days 2023. 800 years of stories have unfolded within the walls of this Franciscan Friary building. Discover them for yourself and get an exclusive look inside this rarely open treasure. We will have digital material and interpretation posters developed as part of our current National Lottery Heritage Fund project on display for you to see and we will be gathering feedback on our new scheme for the building.

Please note that it is only stair access to the first floor, and on the ground floor there are low light levels and uneven floors. Sturdy, closed toed footwear to be worn. It may also be necessary to wear a hard hat which will be provided.
