HOD – Discover the Magdalen Museum Wainfleet

Part of the Lincolnshire HODs Festival 2023

This Scheduled Ancient Monument, built in 1484 by William of Wainfleet (Lord High Chancellor of England), was in continuous use as a grammar school until 1933. Situated in the historic town and Mediaeval port of Wainfleet, it now houses a museum, library, tea rooms and a walled garden for you to explore. Heritage walks around Wainfleet on Saturdays at 1:00pm during Heritage weeks. Please note: the upstairs museum will not be open due to structural problems.
