HODs – A Ghost of Industry Walk around Kirton in Lindsey

Part of the Lincolnshire HODs Festival 2022

Join us for a guided walk around this historic town taking a particular interest in seeking out the remains and sites of lost industries and works in the area. The town has a long industrial history which will be highlighted in the tour. It is known that there were lime quarries and kilns; brickworks; a gas works; ropewalk; steam agricultural manufacturers amongst others. It had one of the biggest Cement works in the country at one time.
