HODs – Grave Designs at Grantham’s Hidden Graveyard

Part of the Lincolnshire HODs Festival 2022

Grantham’s overflow burial ground from 1812-57 is an evocative space & wildlife haven. Engage with individuals through their carefully designed and sculpted headstones. Family historians will be on hand to help with queries. Copies of Janice Webb’s book on this burial ground and the surviving grave-markers will be available for purchase.

Address: Old Burial Ground, Manthorpe Road, Grantham. NG31 8DB. Entrance from Manthorpe Road near bus stop opposite the petrol station. Access is by a flight of steps from Manthorpe Road. The burial ground is uneven.
