Mahomet Thomas Phillips is one of Lincolnshire’s greatest forgotten artists. Born in the Congo in the 1870s, he lived and worked in Lincolnshire for most of his career. His sculpture adorns many of our parish churches and war memorials. It can also be found in cathedrals and castles up and down the land – and beyond! This illustrated online talk introduces his life and work, in an attempt to recover his place at the forefront of artistic creativity in the county in the early twentieth century. Online Event
