HODs – Norton Disney’s Iron Age and Roman Archaeology Revealed

Part of the Lincolnshire HODs Festival 2022

A ‘live’ community archaeological excavation revealing the rich Iron Age and Roman heritage of Norton Disney. A chance to see archaeology ‘up close and personal’ and to learn about the rich heritage of the site on the Lincs/Notts border that dates back to the Bronze Age. Not only will you be able to view the current excavation site but also see an exhibition that details the many discoveries of both national and local importance.

Time: Sat 10th 10.00 – 14.00 Wear sensible footwear as the event will be a stubble field after a harvest. A hat, suntan lotion and water would be wise if hot. Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
