HODs – Rejoice! The Greatest Hymns of Charles Wesley, the Poet of Methodism

Charles Wesley was a founding member of the Methodist movement but is most widely known for writing the words to over 6,500 hymns. Read and hear some of his stirring contributions to the world’s musical history. His brother John dedicated this chapel, Lincolnshire’s oldest Methodist chapel, in the grounds of the magnificent Raithby Hall. John’s close friend, Robert Carr Brackenbury, built the room above a stable for John’s use and this atmospheric building continues to be used for worship.
