The Iron Age and Roman archaeology of Norton Disney

Join us, online, as we celebrate ‘Local & Community History Month’.
A talk by Richard Parker, Secretary of the Norton Disney History and Archaeology Group who has led the investigations into the Potter Hill area of Norton Disney with it’s extensive Iron Age and Roman archaeology, which is set within a landscape first described by William Stukeley. The session will reveal how knowledge of the wider site has changed in the last thirty years with eight excavations, five geophysical surveys, aerial photography, newly documented museum and field walking finds.
