The Return of the King at Bolingbroke Back in Time

Join Heritage Lincolnshire and the Friends of Bolingbroke Castle as they once again team up with the magnificent Plantagenet Society to bring you a weekend of medieval life and combat.

 

See the arming of the King’s knights, learn about the traditional sport of falconry, move to medieval dances, and witness the horse master on his war horse showcasing his martial skills, before watching the climactic tournament where armed fighters will vie for your support and the King’s favour.

With live demonstrations of blacksmithing, archery and combat, it’s sure to be the talk of the Royal Court!

At the castle you can surround yourself with the site’s rich history or relax as nature flourishes around you. With great views across the landscape, you can really immerse yourself in the wonderful atmosphere of the site, even when it’s not being brought to life with medieval re-enactors.
